A Study on Relationship Btween Ego-strength and Adjustment in Nursing Student

Abstract
|
|
|
A purpose of study to in order of examine relationship between Ego-strength and Adjustment in Nursing student.
The subjects were 290 Nursing students who were living in C. K city area.
The instrument in this study was structured questionnaire which were Ego-strength scale by Barron(1953) and Adjustment scale by Kim(1968).
Data was analyzed by using frequency percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation, ANOVA.
The result of this study were as follows
1. An analysis of the relationship of Ego-strength to general characteristics showed statistically significant difference for economic status (F=3.84, P <.01).
2. An analysis of the relationship of Adjustment to general characteristics showed statistically
significant difference for; religion(F=3.24, P <.01), satisfaction of campus life(F = 5.18, P < .001).
3. High mutual relations was appeared Ego-strength and Adjustment of subjects(r= .6783 p <.0001).
In conclusion. Ego-strength correlated positively with adjustment. therefore, there is a need for nursing intervention to Ego-strength and to enhanced Adjustment.
